Entry is by guided tour with advance booking. The museum says third-party sellers are not authorised. A selection of tickets is released 28 days ahead from midnight Irish time; additional same-day tickets or cancellations may appear from 9:15am, with no guarantee. Use the official site rather than paying a reseller promising admission.
Timing and access need attention
Tickets are tied to a tour time, non-transferable and non-refundable; latecomers cannot be accommodated. The official selector advises arriving 15 minutes early, or 30 minutes early for the last two tours to see exhibitions first. Wheelchair users, visitors with additional needs and carers are directed to contact the museum before booking rather than using online booking.
Build the day around what you obtained
An early tour can lead into lunch and an optional later western visit. A later tour needs a light morning and a protected journey before it. Do not reserve another attraction so close that the route depends on a perfect connection.
Without a ticket
