Give each day a district
Keep Trinity and the museum district in one chapter and a ticket-led western visit in another. Choose a hotel location that supports the chapter you care about most. Replace a long connection with a shorter day when energy or access needs demand it.
Use the current planner
Use TFI Live for journey planning and live departures. Northbound DART services have both Howth and Malahide destinations, so check the destination on the actual train.
Check a pass against the trips you intend to make
Leap Visitor Card covers listed Dublin City Bus operators, Luas, DART and Zone 1 Commuter Rail. Selected time starts with first use; it does not start afresh each morning. It excludes Bus Éireann and special tour services. Compare that scope with your actual journeys rather than assuming a pass covers every operator.
Access arrangements are journey-specific
For Howth, arrange train access assistance with Irish Rail before travel if needed. Check the onward streets and venue entrances separately when planning the day.
During the November restrictions
TFI’s dated 10–13 November notice affects central buses and some Luas Red Line services. Re-plan your actual journey near the date and leave more flexibility than a normal route map suggests.
